Cotton fibers are relatively heat-resistant, but care should still be taken when ironing to avoid damaging the fibers with excessive heat.

The ironing temperature for jacquard fabrics needs to be determined according to the specific material, because different fibers have different heat resistance. The following are the recommended ironing temperatures for common jacquard fabric materials:

1.Cotton Jacquard Fabric

  • Temperature Range: 150℃~180℃

  • Characteristics: Cotton fibers have good heat resistance, but when ironing, you still need to pay attention to the temperature to avoid damage to the fibers due to excessive heat.

  • Suggestion: Use medium temperature ironing, set the iron temperature to medium, and you can place a layer of wet cloth to prevent direct contact from damaging the fabric.

2.Wool Jacquard Fabric

  • Temperature Range: 120℃~140℃

  • Characteristics: Wool fibers are sensitive to high temperatures and are easily deformed or scorched by high temperatures.

  • Suggestion: Use low-temperature ironing, set the iron temperature to low, and a wet cloth must be placed when ironing to avoid direct contact.

3.Silk Jacquard Fabric

  • Temperature Range: 100℃~120℃

  • Characteristics: Silk fibers have a delicate texture and are very sensitive to high temperatures.

  • Suggestion: Use low-temperature ironing, set the iron temperature to low, and a wet cloth must be placed when ironing to avoid direct contact to prevent fiber damage.

4.Polyester Jacquard Fabric

  • Temperature Range: 120℃~150℃

  • Characteristics: Polyester fibers have good heat resistance, but excessive ironing temperature may cause the fibers to melt.

  • Suggestion: Use medium-low temperature ironing, set the iron temperature to medium-low, and you can place a layer of wet cloth to prevent direct contact.

5.Blended Jacquard Fabric

  • Temperature Range: Adjust according to the blended components, generally between 120℃~150℃.

  • Characteristics: The heat resistance of blended fabrics depends on their component ratio.

  • Suggestion: Check the material description on the garment label and choose a moderate temperature for ironing. If you are unsure, you can first test the temperature in an inconspicuous area of the garment.

General suggestions for ironing:

  1. Wet Cloth: Regardless of the material, it is recommended to place a layer of wet cloth when ironing, which can prevent the iron from directly contacting the fabric and reduce the risk of damage.

  2. Ironing Direction: Iron along the direction of the fabric's texture to avoid stretching or deformation.

  3. Gentle Operation: Do not press the iron hard to avoid damaging the fibers.

  4. Test Temperature: If you are unsure about the ironing temperature, you can test it first in an inconspicuous area of the garment.

In short, when ironing jacquard fabrics, you need to be extra careful, choose the appropriate temperature according to the fabric material, and take appropriate protective measures.
